St. Patricks Day

You are welcome to incorporate St Patrick's Day into your spring cards and tags this month if you wish. Not everyone celebrates this holiday, but almost everyone knows someone who does. My father was mostly Irish. He had pretty auburn hair (that never grayed) and green eyes. My mom would make the traditional corned beef with cabbage & boiled potatoes dinner for him on St Patrick's Day. I used to have a pin with a pair of holographic lips that said "Kiss me, I'm Irish" that I wore on St Patricks Day. I still have it. But that was about the extent of our celebrations. There are 2 great St Patrick's Day Parades in St Louis each year that I have attended a time or two with my kids, and lots of pub celebrations (which I've skipped!). But for some families I know, St Patrick's Day is a huge deal that they wait for all year. Are any of you Irish and/or do you celebrate St Patrick's Day?

Anyway, this is a St Patrick's Day tag that I made for a swap. I found this precious little lassie on an "Irish" google search and fell in love with her.

I also made a St Patty garland that is very similar to my Valentine garland. Tune in tomorrow... in the meantime, enjoy the music. Danny Boy is for my dad...

I'm with Susie...I'd be right with her at the pubs! We don't have any Irish blood here...but I do like making a good corned beef & cabbage...with the potatoes & carrots cooked right in with it all. Then it's corned beef hash with the leftovers...yum!

Decades ago I had an Irish boss and we threw amazing parties with green beer and green foods! Your tag is uber cute and her little eyes really are smiling. Shamrock Bliss...
