cute lovebirds

Let's start off with some cute lovebirds. I just love this card that I found on a Pinterest board. It was actually a card that was sold in the SunkissedKeepsakes Etsy shop. Very simple and sweet layout. The birds are so cute, and I love the little bowtie and veil!

I would also like to introduce my own lovebirds today. This is my son Justin and his fiance Julie's Save the Date card. They are such a great couple. My son is a wonderful young man. Very wise and kind. Very much like his dad. He works with mentally ill patients, holding group therapy sessions, helping with ECT treatments and as a recreational therapist in an acute psychiatric hospital. He also travels to hospitals in Missouri teaching crisis management and intervention to hospital staff. His fiance is an RN. She is so sweet, and already such an important part of our family. They are both living and working here in the St Louis area, but they are getting married in a church in Julie's hometown in Kansas. The reception will be held outdoors on her family's farm. It is going to be a rustic, DIY reception. I will share some of the fun wedding projects Julie and I have been working on as the month progresses.

The Swap For All Seasons blog is always open and welcomes all visitors! Please feel free to visit often for ideas, tutorials, inspiration, seasonal fun and giveaways. Feel free to leave comments too!

The 2015 Swap is not open to join. A small group of talented crafters will be creating and swapping "Mini Fabric Samplers" each month from which a personal garland/banner may be made by many of the artists at the end of the year.

Many of the samplers (as well as those showcased for inspiration only) will be shown on this blog, on our Flickr group page (see link below), on Instagram at #aswapforallseasons or on the artist's individual blogs (a list of artists and their blog links is coming soon).

Hi! My name is Linda and I am a wife, mom of 3, nurse, crafter, knitter and collector of vintage goodies. I love all things old, sweet, and handmade! I especialy enjoy sharing these things with the network of wonderful, kindred art friends that I have made through blogging and swapping. I love to host swaps, and have hosted many through my own blog and on my favorite Yahoo Groups.

A Swap For All Seasons was a little idea of mine that just kept growing... I envisioned celebrating each season with a delightful, high quality swap, that would bring joy to all who participate! The first A Swap For All Seasons swap was in the Fall of 2008!

Each year of swapping is a little different. For instance, 2015 swaps are not open for all to join. But all visitors are welcome and encouraged to visit often throughout 2015 for ongoing seasonal and crafting inspiration! It is a happy place to be!

I would just like to take this opportunity to mention that when I post another artist's work, it is ONLY FOR THE PURPOSE OF INSPIRATION. I DO NOT promote copying another's work AT ANY TIME. I do not want there to ever be any question of my intentions. I am simply showcasing techniques and providing examples to inspire our own creativity. And please know that I always seek permission from the artist prior to showcasing her/his work when possible.
The only exception is if it is an image that has been posted on multiple Pinterest boards. I will go ahead and repin it here, with a link to the artist and/or website whenever it is available.
