A while back, Bev mentioned something somewhere about getting clothing from thrift stores to use for the fabric. (GENIUS! Why didn't I think of that?) I also like the idea of cutting a few favorite garments (a dress or blouse I loved but no longer wear, sentimental kids clothing, etc) into pieces and keeping the fabric for quilting and other little future projects.

So pretty. I love to up cycle fabric. I buy old quilt squares at antique store and cut them to use in my samplers too.

I like repurposing old fabric from clothing, but that doesn't stop me from buying new fabric, either!
I have definitely cut up my clothes to use the fabric for sewing. I was just looking at some ratty jeans I wouldn't let hubby throw away and now need to repurpose. I LOVE this sampler Bev has created!!! Creative Bliss...
Repurposing is music to my ears. The banner piece I made for Sally used a favorite, flowered, soft cotton skirt that I can longer wear. I ove seeing everyone's lovely creations each month. Go ASFAS girls! Love you all!
