I posted this last October, but I'm repeating because it's still a fav of mine. Soooo simple, fast, great stamp. Frankly, I love it!

Witch Hazel

Let's start off our Halloween inspiration with an adorable play on words. Oh how I love this little cutie! So nicely made. It came from this etsy shop. The seller has several others and one is cuter than the next!
I just have one question. Which witch is Hazel?

sacred inspiration

I have had this tag on my Pinterest board forever, and it originated here. I have loved and saved "holy cards" all of my life- they are very dear to me. When I saw this tag, it spoke to me instantly. I love the image, the colors and all of the shabby chic elements. What I especially like is the "Listen" charm. It's just the perfect word.

I have just a few final things to show you this week. I'll start with this impossably cute card. I love everything about it. It originated here.

friend-ly inspiration
Two of my knitting buddies are about the most talented paper artists I know. Every little thing they make is magic. (that sounds just a little like a song by The Police!) Here is a little thank you note that one of them just "whipped out". I love it! It's just my style!

one last prima doll card

I wanted to show this one because, first of all it's great, and secondly it shows how the doll stamp can be used on a shorter, standard size card. Her legs are cut off, but it still looks great! Making several thank you cards to have handy would be a great way to get my feet wet with my new stamps. Perhaps when a finish a couple of projects I have going...
I found this card on Pinterest, and unfortunately, the origin/artist was not given.
I could go on and on forever listing wonderful Prima Doll tags and cards! Ther are so many great ones out there. Sooo inspiring!

ohhh love this one!

I just love the hair coloring and the outfit (Those leggings are adorable!) on this tag. The background is stellar and such a great sentiment too. Brilliant! It originated on this great blog, where you can see so many inspiring tags!

Prima Doll Stamps by Julie Nutting

These are my latest fascination. Joyce makes these and had a wonderful blog-along last year with other Julie Nutting doll crafters that was so inspiring! After that I bought 2 of the stamps, an acrylic mounting block...and that's it. I haven't made anything yet. I would love to start collecting some Copic markers and experimenting with the flesh and hair colors. And I could go absolutely nutty (no pun intended) cutting out dresses with some of my favorite papers and color combos. Someday soon....
I saved this tag duo from Pinterest a while back and I apologize, as now I cannot find the source/artist info. I like the bright and happy colors. I also really like the look of stamping the image on newsprint/book pages/script paper. More to come...

for a dear friend
I made this last week for a dear friend who is about to lose her husband to cancer. I can't imagine what she is going through. As her friend, I feel helpless because I can't really do much to make her feel better. This card was my way of doing something to let her know she has my love and prayers. You can buy cards that say the same thing, but making one is very therapeutic and much more personal. If you think of it, please remember her in your prayers as well. She is truly one of the dearest people I have ever known, and she is losing her best friend. Even though my husband drives me truly and completely crazy at times, I don't know what I'd do without him...and I'm sure many of you feel the same about the people closest to you. Thanks for allowing me to talk about this today...it's not my usual upbeat post!
Tomorrow I have some really great tags to begin showcasing. I find them so inspiring!

just right

My idea of the perfect destash: a fabric quarter, a few buttons, a fabric yo yo and maybe a vintage bingo card- all in a dreamy color scheme...ahhh. Just enough to be inspiring!

a jolly holiday
Oh how I love the movie "Mary Poppins". I can just about recite it from beginning to end. When I found this stamp I nearly floated to the ceiling with glee! I've been looking for occasions to use it ever since. I used it for my Project Life page in January when I saw "Saving Mr. Banks" twice. (I loved it, and cried like a baby both times!) And I used it again for this month's "my style" giveaway package. It's Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

an old friend
This is the card that I made for this month's giveaway. It features an old friend of mine and some of my favorite trims. I had Raggedy Ann everything in about 1970 or so! I still have an old Raggedy Ann lamp on my studio table. I always prefered a raggedy ann or an old baby doll over a frilly fancy new doll any day. I really haven't changed much!

happy
This week I'll show you some of my cards and tags. I made this tag for an upcoming birthday. I love the happy colors and fun sentiment. Anytime I can use colorful pom poms it's a bonus! They zoom me right back to 1970 with memories of the little things I used to make. Happy! Want to know another happy thing? JULY GIVEAWAY IS TOMORROW! Don't miss it!

worth repeating

I posted this collage swap/paper packaging inspiration several months back and decided to show it again because the ideas are still the best! To find one of these with my name on it and/or to give one to a friend would be a little slice of heaven!

something else I hoard...

Oh for the love of vintage playing cards! Such a GREAT idea for last minute tags/cards/package tie ons. The back of the card can be used however you want- with a sentiment, quote, or even left as is. What could possibly make this any better? Why, topping it off with a vintage button of course! This stroke of sheer brilliance originated here.

sew cute!

Sew what's knot to love about these button flower tags? Oh, and I just love the notion of using newspaper for the background. These delightful tags were posted on Button Floozies, a blog that I actually belong to, but have not posted on in years or even visited in a while. Does anyone else belong to Button Floozies? If you are a fellow button lover, go have a visit!

ok so totally switching gears here...

...from the lavish baby card and tag to the uber simple thank you card. This looks like something I would make and give. I love fast, clever, and of course anything with buttons! I make VERY few things that do not have at least 1 button on them somewhere. This delightful card can be found here.

heavenly

Another thing I just LOVE are pockets filled with tags. Here is a heavenly one that originated here. My niece (not Susie's daughter, but on my husband's side) is having a little girl soon and I may make something similar for her. So sweet and a great way to use some of the great little baby girl things that I so shamelessly hoard.

This is it

Oh how I love this card. It originated here. This is my style to a T. The soft colors, the sewing, the patchwork of papers, the baby... swooning here.

This is my dream destash. I love vintage ephemera. Especially if it's baby or childhood related! Think of something (destash that you own) that reflects your style to send to your partner this month! Card and tag inspiration starts tomorrow!
